AC Hand Yoke Magnetic Particle Equipment

Gammatec’s AC Hand Yoke Magnetic Particle instrument is a low-cost portable, one-operator Non-Destructive Testing(NDT) package which provides accurate and fast defect location in ferrous metals.

The instrument features AC operation or DC operation using a converter. AC operation can detect surface breaking defects suchas linear cracks, stress corrosion, porosity, laminations and cold laps. DC operation accurately detects sub-surface flaws such as porosity, internal forging bursts, stringers and hot tears.

The yokes feature a dual coil which provides maximum lifting power without uncomfortable heating. The acid-proof, impact-resistant body ensures ruggedness and has been designed with operator comfort in mind, making it both easy to hold and operate.

The instrument is manufactured in South Africa by Gammatec and complies with ASTM E 709 and ASME 5 Part 7 standards.

Flexibility
Using our new Articulating Leg yoke makes working on difficult shapes or awkward angles really easy. The Articulating Leg yoke offers a wide variety of pole spacing with legs that can be locked in place toavoid
constant re-adjustment of the foot pieces. Replaceable foot pieces means that your yoke will always work at optimum performance.

Ease of Handling
We have redesigned our yoke to be lightweight with a comfortable, ergonomic grip that will fit virtually all hand sizes and so reduce operator fatigue.

Superior Lifting Power
Our yoke conforms to and surpasses the requirements of ASME V Article 25 SE-709 and ASTM E 709-80, easily lifting weights of 30kg (66lbs).
The Permanent Magnets can operate at temperatures of up to 120°C and, due to their seating within the legs, can withstand severe impact.

Ultraviolet Lights

The unit is both lightweight and rugged and features a rapid warm-up time, a unique filter housing which facilitates cooling and a built-in power supply for ancillary equipment. A high absorption filter ensures the minimum exposure to UVB rays while the “Stay Cool” handgrip ensures operator comfort.

PORTABLE AREA RADIATION WARNING ALARM ERA99-A

Operation is by means of sealed push buttons. ON activates the unit to it’s standby position, indicated by an Amber flashing beacon.In the event of exposure to radiation, the unit will automatically switch to a Red flashing beacon and give a 10 -20 second continuous audible tone. Depressing the PRE-WARN button causes a continuous audible tone. The OFF button removes power from the unit and, if connected to a mains supply, the unit will automatically charge the internal battery from the in-built charger.

Power to the unit is supplied by means of either an internal battery or via an external mains supply to the sealed connector. In the event of a mains failure the battery automatically takes over, ensuring continuous radiation monitoring. Provision is also made for slave indicators with modifications according to customer requirements.

X-Ray Industrial Film Viewers
Single and Combination Models

Viewers can be ordered with or without built in Densitometers. Combination viewers feature a built-in-Digital Densitometer with a pencil type probe. The viewer housing is made from robust moulded PVC material making it light, practical, resistant to developing & fixing chemicals and easy to clean.

All lamps and components are easily accessible by simply removing the screws on the viewing screen.
